OA Dispatched for Training__________________________________
Under NECP's Manpower Development program, Mr. Ram Chandra Paswan, Ophthalmic Assistant from Gaur Eye Hospital has been sent for training in India. Mr. Paswan will obtain the training course on Certificate Course for Clinical and Supervisory Skills Development in Ophthalmic Paramedical Personnel conducted by the Lions Aravind Institute of Community Ophthalmology (LAICO), a unit of Aravind Eye Care System (AECS). The duration of the training will be for three months as per the schedule set by the LAICO from 1st April to 30th June, 2003.

Project Evaluation__________________________________________
Social Welfare Council (SWC) has assigned a team for project evaluation. The overall objectives of the evaluation is to assess the program achievement and to propose a plan for the future direction of the program, with special emphasis on long-term sustainability of the programs. The evaluation team consists of 3 members, Dr. Sudhir Gautam as Team Leader and team members Mr. Chandramani Adhikari and Mr. Ujwal Gautam . The team will observe the overall activities carried out by the project during the current 3 years period (May 16, 2000 to May 15, 2003). The team has already visited the project sites; Gaur Eye Hospital, Gaur, Kedia Eye Hospital, Birganj and Primary Eye Care Center, Panchkhal. The draft report of the evaluation is expected by 15th of May, 2003.

Construction Works About to Complete________________________
The construction work of Office building extension and roof and link repair work of the general ward building is going on since last 4 months. The construction work will be completed soon..
